About Tom and Mary...

In August of 1971, Tom enrolled as a student in Texas A&M. Through the witness of campus ministries, he trusted in Christ for forgiveness of his sins and soon joined Grace Bible Church. In 1985, he went to Egypt where he lived in Cairo and studied Arabic 1985-87. While in Egypt, he heard of an excellent Arabic language school in Jordan and decided to study there. In God’s providence, Mary was teaching Arabic at the very language school Tom attended. They got to know one another and were married in Jordan in 1988.

They returned to America where they served the Arab immigrants of Brooklyn, NY, until 1999 when they returned to College Station.

In January 2003, Tom began teaching Arabic to an Aggie friend. A few months later, two more students joined them.

Finally in May 2003, Tom and Mary began actively seeking people who wanted to learn Arabic.

They continued to use the curriculum Mary taught during her years of teaching Arabic in Jordan. An American linguist developed this curriculum over a period of thirty years. It includes two parts, spoken and written Arabic.
